Editorial Policy

Purpose and scope

LodgeHQ publishes practical information about document translation, practitioner credentials, language directions, marketplace processes and translation-specific receiving-body requirements. Content must help a reader make or complete a translation decision. It must not drift into individual migration advice, legal advice, tax advice or a guarantee of a government, court, education, licensing or application outcome.

Publication workflow

1. Define one dominant user task. A page has a clear owner and is not created as a thin city, language, visa or document variant.
2. Gather current evidence. Regulated statements are checked against the responsible authority's current primary source.
3. Separate the actors. Copy identifies what LodgeHQ, the translator, NAATI, the customer and the receiving organisation each do.
4. Challenge claims. Universal acceptance, guaranteed timing, unverified statistics, unsupported affiliation, escrow and outcome claims are removed.
5. Review the rendered page. Titles, headings, links, caveats, calls to action, dates and structured data must agree with visible content.
6. Publish with accountability. The page names a verified individual author/reviewer or the organisation-based LodgeHQ Editorial Team and shows the relevant review date.

Regulated and professional review

A byline is not evidence of professional review. Where content states a current visa, citizenship, court, privacy, consumer-law, tax or practitioner-credential rule, LodgeHQ uses the relevant primary source and seeks an appropriately qualified reviewer when interpretation goes beyond a straightforward, attributed summary. The reviewer's name, role, relevant credential and review boundary are shown only after verification and consent.

If that review is unavailable, the content is narrowed to translation process, quotes the responsible source carefully, uses an explicit limitation, or is held from publication.

Authorship and software assistance

LodgeHQ does not invent surnames, biographies, practitioner numbers, qualifications or review roles. Organisation-based authorship is used where the accountable publisher is known but an individual identity and consent are not verified. Software and generative tools may assist with research organisation, drafting, editing or quality checks, but a human publisher remains accountable for source checking, claim scope and the final page.

Commercial independence and calls to action

LodgeHQ operates the marketplace described on this website and therefore has a commercial interest when content links to a quote or translator-registration path. That interest must be clear. It does not permit LodgeHQ to present itself as NAATI, imply government endorsement, hide a material service limitation, copy a competitor, manufacture a review or recommend the service where the reader's stated needs do not fit the workflow.

Dates, monitoring and updates

• A “last fact-checked” date means the named facts and linked sources were reviewed on that date; it is not a promise that nothing changed afterwards.
• Material regulated pages are rechecked when an authority changes its program, terminology, form or instructions and through the scheduled editorial review cycle.
• Operational pages are rechecked when pricing, uploads, automated analysis, access controls, retention, fees, payouts or the quote workflow changes.
• A changed date must reflect a real review, not a cosmetic freshness update.
