Corrections Policy

Effective and last reviewed: 2 August 2026

LodgeHQ welcomes specific, evidence-based corrections. Regulated facts and statements that could affect a person's document, deadline, payment, privacy or receiving-body decision receive priority, but no fixed response time is promised.

Report an error

Email [email protected] with the subject “Editorial correction”. Include:

  • the exact LodgeHQ page URL;
  • the heading, sentence or data point concerned;
  • why it appears inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or misleading;
  • a current primary source or direct evidence where available; and
  • whether the issue could affect a live deadline, order, payment, privacy or safety concern.

Do not email a passport, identity document or full client file merely to support an editorial correction.

How a report is assessed

  1. LodgeHQ checks that the report identifies a published statement and relevant evidence.
  2. The responsible primary source and the page's prior evidence are compared.
  3. Where professional interpretation is required, publication is narrowed or held until an appropriate reviewer is available.
  4. The team assesses how materially the issue could affect user action, regulatory accuracy, service expectations or trust.
  5. The page is corrected, qualified, temporarily removed, redirected, archived or left unchanged with the reason recorded internally.

How changes are shown

Change types and their publication treatments
Change typePublication treatment
Minor copy or formatting fixCorrected without a prominent note where meaning is unchanged.
Source or freshness updateSource and fact-check date updated only after the relevant facts are rechecked.
Material factual correctionCorrected after the evidence is confirmed and accompanied by a visible correction or update note describing the material change.
Unsafe or fundamentally misleading pageTemporarily removed, noindexed, consolidated or redirected while the correct canonical owner is prepared.

LodgeHQ does not advance a “last updated” date merely to make content appear fresh. A revision history is added where knowing the prior rule or the nature of the correction materially helps readers.

Order, privacy and legal disputes

This policy concerns published content. An order-quality issue should use the order revision or dispute workflow and the Terms of Service. A privacy request or incident should follow the Privacy Policy. A correction does not determine an individual legal entitlement or consumer remedy.

No retaliation and no paid corrections

LodgeHQ does not charge to correct a factual error and does not condition a correction on a purchase, review, link or removal of fair criticism. Reports can be made by customers, translators, receiving organisations, regulators, professionals or members of the public.
